Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. She's best known as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 and a leading role in several dramas on television. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Alexandra worked on several important international and national projects over the years. The projects include British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historic miniseries Napoleon. She has also been a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in at the Cannes Film Festival.
